Adolescence is descent before definition. Fallboys documents the fall — and honors the becoming.
Fallboys is not “sad boy content.” It is not toxic masculinity nostalgia. It is not aesthetic-only autumn branding.
Fallboys is a category-defining Young Adult literary platform centered on emotionally complex boys in transition. We exist to be the structured archive of male-led YA emotional coming-of-age stories — a vulnerability-forward literary discovery engine and a masculinity redefinition space.
This is about falling — and becoming.
The word “Fall” operates on two levels: it refers to the emotional experiences of falling — falling in love, failure, grief, identity collapse — and it evokes autumn as a season of shedding, transition, and becoming. Together, Fallboys documents the emotional architecture of adolescence for boys and masc-aligned leads.
We own one category: Male Emotional Coming-of-Age Architecture.

Five emotional descent archetypes — Falling in Love, Falling Apart, Falling Away, Falling Into Identity, and Falling & Failing — form a structured literary taxonomy unlike anything else.

Discussion toolkits, reading lists by theme, emotional intensity guides, and trigger transparency to help teachers and librarians connect young readers with the right stories.
Intentionally inclusive of queer, neurodivergent, and BIPOC perspectives. Every archetype features diverse stories, authors, and experiences.
Safety and dignity are core to everything we do. Here are the principles that guide Fallboys.
We never glorify self-harm, violence, or destructive behavior. Stories explore pain honestly but always point toward understanding and growth.
We reject toxic masculinity narratives. Strength is redefined as emotional honesty, vulnerability, and the courage to feel deeply.
Every feature promotes understanding and naming emotions. From archetype descriptions to reflection prompts, we build emotional vocabulary.
All books include trigger considerations and emotional intensity ratings. Readers always know what they’re walking into before they start.
We center vulnerability as a strength without reducing boys to a single emotional type. Complexity and contradiction are honored.
Queer, neurodivergent, BIPOC, and all boys who feel are welcome here. Our archive reflects the full spectrum of adolescent experience.
Fallboys is thoughtful, gentle, honest, and literary. We are autumnal but not cliché, safe but not clinical, intellectually grounded but never condescending.
Our voice is that of a literary curator, an emotionally intelligent mentor, and a quiet older brother who has been through the fall and emerged on the other side.
Where boys fall — and rise differently.
